Silverado to Offer AA and CarPlay

The 2016 Silverado will offer buyers the choice of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. I don't think they'll see a ton of conquests as a result but I do think Ford needs to demonstrate why people should stick with SYNC 3 instead...

Maybe it doesn't matter to this segment??

I'd prefer android since from my experience there's more you can do rather than being limited to what apple OS's give you.

Sticking it out alone could prove to be better, all depends on how the interface is and how well it works with what the average person needs and wants.

I will most likely go with Android Auto as I'm not a big fan of Apple but if there's an option to forgo both of them, I would. I'm paranoid about the security of my own device let alone linking it up with my truck.

I sure hope that's not the case for him, there's just too many good things going for the raptor to make that a deciding factor.

I just don't quite understand why this is such an important factor to SO many people... I mean the function of my truck is first and foremost a truck... listening to music is nice, but I don't need internet streaming to optimize my experience LOL...

Yeah otherwise we'd be driving a Prius.

Any thing like infotainment or what ever is just extra, i could care less. Heck i'd even shut the sucker off and just stick to the basics like what we had years ago before all this tech.

It's not a deciding factor and it's negligible. If Raptor has it as an option at a reasonable price then I'll go for Andriod but stock is fine.
