Raptor is Production Ready!!

We've seen the Raptor cruising through the sand dunes at Silver Lake State Park and bashing through the wilderness of Northern Michigan. For the first time we see the Raptor on the pavement and it looks production ready.

The only thing missing from the truck shown earlier this year in Detroit is the massive FORD lettering across the tailgate, we're not sure if Ford has decided to switch the tailgates as this prototype is sporting a Raptor badge to go along with the traditional F-150 fare. Things could change again before the Raptor goes on sale during 2016.

When we saw the Raptor last it was still sporting regular F-150 bumpers, hood and a slightly modified bed. From the new profile shot we get an excellent look at the new haunches on the bed, as well as seeing the production bumpers out and about for the first time. If you look closely you can also see the heat extractor on top of the hood. The gloss black wheels are also the same, albeit painted, as the ones we saw on the Detroit truck back in January.

More details coming soon, surely!

Wish they managed to get a frontal shot of the production model Raptor. Can't wait for more pictures to come out!

I have a feeling there might be more spots, possibly the reason why we only got so few views here. Who knows, during the next round we might get a look at the interior.

I like how the badges match the body color, but I bet that is only with the black exterior paint.

Yeah better get some good colors.

Blue flame and ruby red were my favorites on the 1st gen, and that "terrain" light sand color really grew on me too.

I think i might be one of the few here that might not like flame as much as the next guy. But that might depend on how it's done, just not done in the old school traditional way.

I did see blue flame again recently and it is a bit much... if blue can be ostentatious, blue flame is it.

Most of the Raptors around here are grey, red, white.
