2018 F-150 Raptor Recall

Ford has issued a recall because some rivets may be missing from the structural braces in the roof, meaning it may not hold up as well if you ever roll the Raptor. On the bright side, around 40 vehicles are affected, which sounds like a small number.

This actually might reveal something good about the Raptors, maybe they produce these in sample sizes low like this overall. So regardless of what issues come up they might be very limited in their capacity to impact most Raptors of a similar model year. Might be even more of a reason to buy one.

Good point, when other mass produced vehicles gets recalled it's in the hundreds whereas the Raptors are only affected in the tens and I assume with less units, parts are more accessible.

Well its just easier to contain the problem vehicles to a smaller batch, getting parts might not be easier but then again how many raptors have we seen on the road? Raptors are quite common.

Thank God it's only 40 units. That's actually a good thing in terms of production, to indicate and solve the problem in the beginning stage, so now they know better their strong and weak sides in some way.

Recalls are pretty common with any brand and they learn from it. The problem is when they don't change anything in the next gen model and the same problem occurs again.
