Ford SVT Raptor Patrolling the Border

Just thought I would post up this article on the SVT Raptor being used as a border patrol vehicle.

Quote:
Our mildly-modified Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Super Duty vehicles can do almost all the things the Ford SVT Raptor is capable of doing. The difference is the ease (and speed) with which the Raptor does them. Where a Tahoe scrabbles up a steep slope, struggling to find purchase in loose rock, the Raptor simply ascends. Where an F-350 churns through soft sand, fighting to keep its massive bulk afloat, the Raptor seems to glide over the surface. Our other trucks can be made to work in this environment, but the Raptor is to the manor born.

Worth checking out the full article. Check it out here --> The SVT Raptor is the perfect Border Patrol vehicle

then again maintaining a Turbo truck in desert conditions would have to be a NIGHTMARE, especially if the truck is typically run hard...

I don't know if they'll end up with 2017s to be honest...

True.

Considering that, it's too much of a liability for them, law enforcement agencies almost always go with vehicles that are dependable. Maybe they'll get the Ram Rebel

But the border patrol has so much money invested into it. I think that they are looking for things to spend money on.
