Chevrolets new Anti Aluminium Ads

Chevy has a few new anti aluminium ads out that they think will help Ford not sell F-150s...

uhh... don't they have plans to go aluminum with their next gen model?

This might not have been a good idea, Ford had good reasons for going aluminum.

I found them a bit petulant really. I mean the comic book one was just embarrassing... but thats the GM way, eff building better product, we'll just assassinate the character of our rival ;)

the RAM guys think the Chevy ads will help them sell more ram 1500's LOL.

Speaking of the Silvy, have you guys seen the 2016's? I don't mind the new grill actually...

I love it, add's a bold new identity to the truck while still being what you'd expect from a GM product. If it was up to me as an owner i'd wrap the middle bar in black.

but the sierras are where the sex is at ;)

Indeed, these were always lookers and Chevy did well with taking it up a notch this time around.

Doesn't the Silverado has aluminum components? This may come back and bite them in the future as it just shows how hypocritical they are.

Quote:

GM is expected to make broader use of aluminum on the next-generation pickup -- possibly for the doors and liftgate -- when it arrives in late 2018 or early 2019, sources say.

It's a good idea on GM's part. Ford will have to emphasize that its just as safe and durable. These are things that people care about quite a bit in the truck market.

Jurassic 09-13-2015 03:46 PM

Seems to be an effective plan, have Ford emphasize and educate the consumers on how aluminum is just as safe and durable. Chevrolet will then swoop in with their when aluminium has been confirmed to be safe.

Jackson 09-20-2015 04:16 PM

Or Chevy will just rebrand it "super aluminum" or something like that to give the impression its stronger than Ford's.
