Hello from TN

Very interested to see what Ford releases this year. Can't wait to see the specs.

Welcome to the forum!

Indeed, can't wait for it all to go down, moment of truth will soon be here.

What do you drive currently and what have you owned in the past?

I have a nicely modified 2007 Tacoma that my son drives now. Bought it new in 07'. I also have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel as my daily driver. I want to get back in to truck since the Tacoma heads off to College next Summer.

What do you think about the new Tacoma TRD? I heard it's a bit dated and Toyota could have done more. One beef some people have with it is... drum brakes.

But apparently Toyota's reason is it helps to have a sealed system in wet conditions.

Tacoma is a great truck but even the new model looks so close to my 07". Toyota will continue to lead the mid size truck segment.

For me it is time to upgrade to full size truck. I'm more focused on the looks of the Raptor than it's off road capabilities plus i need more towing capacity than my Jeep. The short wheelbase in the Jeep is not ideal for towing a heavy boat.

Looking forward to seeing real specifications and pricing. The price of used Raptors is out of control. I'm predicting a new one will not be a huge cost upgrade over a used 2013-14 model.

Once the reviews come out for the new Gen II I suspect values of the Gen I will go down quickly. The Gen I still looks good on the outside but the interior is already really dated.

It will unfortunately however it will create a good opportunity to buy into what could be a great starting point for a built. So we might see a rise of that happening. Although some might suggest starting with this new gen is the way to go.
