Just came across this infographic that showcases some of the milestones that Ford has hit with their Ecoboost engines. We've seen them placed in a wide range of models in Ford's line-up, including the nimble and sporty Focus and Focus ST, muscle cars like Ford Mustang, performance vehicles like the Ford F-150 Raptor, and even Le Mans-winning racing cars, like the new Ford GT. Power and fuel efficiency no longer sit at either sides of the spectrum.
These engines have shown themselves to be quite diverse, as Ford has put them in most of their models across the lineup. Ford seems to have struck the perfect balance between power and efficiency and its no surprise that its won engine of the year for 6 years now.
The Ecoboost is pretty much Ford's go to engine with pickups and something fans of Raptors look forward to. Heck, I'd like to see it in SUVs too but the new Ecoboost engine is just for the F-150 Raptor as far as I know.
Ford has an Ecoboost engine for pretty much every vehicle in their lineup, though the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 is exclusive to the Raptor and Ford GT. There is a chance we could see this implemented in the new Bronco however, as there are rumors of a Raptor variant there.
