Possible 7.0L V8?

There seems to be some rumors running around that the 2019 Raptor could be featuring a 7.0L V8 as a power plant. Called the 7X V8.

What do you guys think about that?

I want it but give the current automotive climate and what the industry calls for these days, that V8 better get good enough mileage.
All this time I was expecting a more fuel friendly powerplant and not something even bigger in displacement.

I don't think anyone was expecting them to push an even larger v8 out of their arsenal but because of that reason.... I really want one now. Just to have what could potentially be the last iteration of a Ford V8

This might be their way to end off the big V8 era, going forward in the next iteration we might see more of what I talked about. Its not what everyone wants to hear but its reality.

I'm going to be real interested to see what kind of mileage this thing will get. Probably some cylinder deactivation tech will be going on in there.

It may be a lot better than you expect or a lot worse than you expect. It could be geared to just be a seriously fast pickup truck, something like the SRT10 Ram back then.
