One of One 17' Ford Raptor Auctioned

As the title states, a "one of one" 2017 Ford Raptor was auctioned off at the 46th Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. It was the last VIN for 2017 as well.

There was nothing really special about the Raptor in terms of performance or additions or anything like that, but the buyer gets to pick a color that will make it "one of one"

The money raised from this Raptor auction is set to be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

It ended up being sold off for $157,000 and it also got an anonymous donation of $50,000 as well. So the grand total of $207,000 was sent to JDRF.

Definitely think this is one of the best ways to auction off a special vehicle.

Is that the last serial number of the 2017 Ford Raptor? I guess the ones that'll appreciate are the first and last vin numbers of special models.

Definitely the last VIN of the production run. That's pretty darn cool. Glad to see it go to a good cause.

The one-of-a-kind Raptor bears the last VIN in the production run

Now that I've been looking at it and thinking of this, it isn't a special vehicle at all really. It's not a limited production truck, it was more so for the foundation they were raising money for that the truck got so much.

If it wasn't for the fact that this is a brand new generation for the Raptor and its first year model then it would have been different. In that case having a special edition would be needed.

Glad to see they got that much for the foundation. But with the ability to have charity donations as a tax write off, I wonder if there will be any tax credit given to the person who purchased this Raptor.
