Ford Raptor Ready for Baja 1000

Ford Performance is bringing their race ready F-150 Raptor to SEMA 2016. Really didn't need to do much to the Ecoboost F-150 Raptor because it's already pretty darn off-road capable.

The Raptor will be running in the SCORE Baja 1000 endurance event, fitting itself into the stock full class.

Some changes it underwent include:
Roll Cage
Racing Seats
Fuel Cell
LED light bars
Re-tuned suspension to handle the extra added weight
BFGoodrich K02 tires wrapped around beadlock wheels

Still being powered by the stock 3.5L Twin-Turbo Ecoboost engine that produces 450hp and 510lb-ft of torque.

A new "Baja Mode" keeps the turbos spooled up which driver Greg Foutz says is "miles better than the previous off-road mode"

Be ready to hear some updates as the race takes place this month between the 16th-20th.

When it's not being used they should take it around to shows unless they have another one running around for show purposes. Would be great to have it on display for everyone to have a close look at. I'll be interested in having a look at the underbody which can easily be done with mirrors they put down.

With how high the Raptor is sitting, they wouldn't need to put it on blocks. There isn't much to see except for the re-tuned suspension, wonder what brand they used.

That depends, if it's sitting on the ground and not already raised on a platform then of course they will but if it's on a platform where it's already 3-4+ feet up then it will be very easy to peak under. They just need to make sure its well lit as it can get very dark under their, not all colors are bright with stand out colors.

Majority of what's under there is all stock though. They just adjusted the suspension to be able to handle the extra weight... If you get a picture of the undercarriage of a stock Raptor and picture maybe some prettier springs or something, that's what it'll be close to lol. Everything needed to be seen is really on top. The cage, fuel-cell in the bed, racing seats, etc.

Wellp, they finished in third place from what I found online !
854.5 mile desert race and after the race finished, they still drove it home
The winner was Rod Hall in a Hummer and Marc Van Tassell came in second in a Toyota Land Cruiser.
