Ken Block + Raptor + Sand

In this video you can really see how durable the Raptor is. You can hear how heavy and constant they lay into the throttle, you can physically see the suspension going through outrageous torment, but it all holds together so darn well.

Great demo of what it can do but as owners it doesn't do much for us, just entertainment and a way to sell us on it even more.
What i'm more interested in are those owners that push the Raptor to its limits consistently.

Selling it to us is all these videos really needs to do. The owners that consistently push their Raptors consistently are very few and it'll be tough to get their impressions unless you see it on video or in person and question them.

On that point most of them wont care for these video promos, instead they're more concerned with what they'll be putting these through.

Instead I believe these videos are more for showing what the brand is about, Ford building on its image and establishing that along the way.

Ford is trying to build up their brand as a performance oriented one with the Focus Rs and now the EcoBoost Raptor Ad. Heard that they were looking into expanding the RS lineup as well, so we'll definitely be seeing more ads like these even if it's not centered around a pickup.

Or we could see a Raptor RS.

Ford has always been about their performance vehicles though, look at the Mustang heritage for years lol. The SVT F150 was another one from a while back.

Exciting times for American car makers in the performance segments. Insane how we can not void warranty by having Roush parts. Then there's FCA with an 800HP Challenger Demon, from factory.

This is probably the greatest time for American Performance cars since the 60's-70's.

I agree. Now I think the American performance cars are going to be taking a turn especially looking at the route Chevy is taking with the Corvette. That'll definitely be a game changer.

Dodge has been keeping Viper growth slow, maybe they're planning for a mid-engine Viper?
But aside from extreme's like that, on more affordable levels they're doing amazing. Fiesta ST and Focus RS are stand-out products, some might say they are like the old Cosworths.
